My Czechia Vacation

I like to travel but I didn't want to go on holidays to Czech Republic. I thought that it was not an interesting destination for a holiday but I was awfully mistaken. A friend of mine literary made me to book a vacation in Czech Republic with her and we went to Karlovy Vary. It is one of the best and the main spa resorts in Czechia. There are about 13 large mineral springs there, so this place offers a really excellent and relaxing vacation. I also want to say the city of Karlovy Vary is a modern city where you can find entertainment you like. Everyday we went to numerous local cafes and bars where we enjoyed the excellent Czech beer. Besides, I want to say, that this Czech city lives and active sport life. While we were there, we were lucky to visit the golf competition and horse races. It was really an exciting event for me. I like horses, so I visited the horse races with great pleasure. After I spent my vacation in Czechia, I changed my opinion about this wonderful country and I even want to back there again.

Several Days in Vilnius

Several years ago I went on holidays to Lithuania. I went to Vilnius as I longed to see the Lithuanian capital very much. As soon as I arrived there, I immediately went to do the sights of Vilnius as it is one of the largest historical centres of Europe. Besides, only in Vilnius I tasted very delicious coffee. When I drank it, I have always remembered about my vacation in Italy. To say that the architecture of Vilnius was beautiful is to say nothing. I really liked Vilnius old town. Castle mountain with Gedimin’s Tower, Cathedral Square with the St.Stanislav Cathedral and many ancient mansions really won my heart. I really promised that some day I will come back on holidays to Vilnius again. There are many more things to discover there. Besides, people of Vilnius are very friendly and its not a problem to find suitable accommodation in Lithuania. At least it is always possible to stay at a hotel there.

Ligurian Vacation

I like to travel and I try to use my every chance to go somewhere. I was told that there is a nice region in Italy – Liguria. My friend advised me to go there some day. And I did! I went there last summer. I went to Ventimiglia, Liguria. I liked this small town very much. First of all, Ventimiglia is located right on the border with France. This gives a really special atmosphere to the place. More over, Liguria offers a great number of various sights to the tourists. And Ventimiglia is not an exception. I like various historical sights, so I was stricken with the cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta that is more than one thousand years old. The Old City was also very exciting to see as it remembers the Romans living there. But it is not all that Ventimiglia can offer. It is a resort city so it has excellent beaches. I liked its sandy beaches, so I went there everyday. I also practiced swimming and diving there. It was not a problem for me to find where to stay in Ventimiglia as there is a great number of apartment offers there. I rented a nice apartment in a very picturesque part of Ventimiglia. So, I really enjoyed my vacation in Liguria.

Several Days in Verona, Veneto

I adore the works by William Shakespeare. Especially I adore his play “Romeo and Juliet”. That was the main reason why I made this trip to Verona located in Venice. I wanted to see the city Shakespeare mentioned in his work with my own eyes. When I came to Verona, I was really impressed. It has got so many sights that I didn’t notice how quickly my week there passed. The guide told that Verona survived since the Roman Times. The Roman Theatre impressed me a lot. It is very large. There was place for over 22,000 spectators. When I visited it, I felt the breath of the Roman gladiator fights. Another place in Verona that impressed me a lot was the market on the “Piazza delle Erbe”. It also was one of the main market in the ancient times. Nowadays they sell various stuffs there. The next attraction I visited was the Juliet’s Balcony. Not far from it the house where Romeo was born is located. Unfortunately, it is not well-preserved, so no one is allowed to come into the house. There are many other interesting attractions in Venice, Verona particularly, that are worth seeing. I also want to say that it was easy for me to find accommodation there. I stayed in a nice apartment that had all the conveniences so I felt really comfortable there. Besides, I really fell in love with the Veneto region.

Planning Vacation in Latvia

Vacation!. I waited for this vacation for long time and finally it is coming!!!
As usual I talked to my husband and we still can't decide where to go. I have surfed internet a bit and found that it is possible to get some quite cheap accommodation in Latvia and spend a week there. I found so many nice story about Latvia, environment and nature there. A lot of nice tours...  so would be really interesting to compare my own impressions with internet information... To be honest, I am just a bit afraid of service in countryside. We are planning to get accommodation somewhere close to Riga for a week and travel around the county, take a photos for future report about this trip. As soon as I am back, I will write about problems we had as I am still afraid that it can take a long time on the board between Belarus and Latvia, Also still not sure how long it will take to get a visa as Latvia now is in European Union and the requirement to get a visa is different already and more complicated than before.
We will see…
