Several Days in Verona, Veneto

I adore the works by William Shakespeare. Especially I adore his play “Romeo and Juliet”. That was the main reason why I made this trip to Verona located in Venice. I wanted to see the city Shakespeare mentioned in his work with my own eyes. When I came to Verona, I was really impressed. It has got so many sights that I didn’t notice how quickly my week there passed. The guide told that Verona survived since the Roman Times. The Roman Theatre impressed me a lot. It is very large. There was place for over 22,000 spectators. When I visited it, I felt the breath of the Roman gladiator fights. Another place in Verona that impressed me a lot was the market on the “Piazza delle Erbe”. It also was one of the main market in the ancient times. Nowadays they sell various stuffs there. The next attraction I visited was the Juliet’s Balcony. Not far from it the house where Romeo was born is located. Unfortunately, it is not well-preserved, so no one is allowed to come into the house. There are many other interesting attractions in Venice, Verona particularly, that are worth seeing. I also want to say that it was easy for me to find accommodation there. I stayed in a nice apartment that had all the conveniences so I felt really comfortable there. Besides, I really fell in love with the Veneto region.
